![]() Program Intro Meetings If you are considering adoption, the first step is to attend a Program Introduction meeting. There are separate sessions each month that discuss Domestic Adoption and International Adoption. You are welcome to attend both if you would like to consider all your options. Introduction meetings are designed only for Prospective Adoptive Parents. Please note that as these meetings are lengthy and seating is often limited, we request that children do not attend. Introductory Programs are conducted by our Executive Director Richard Pearlman. Each session included:
We encourage everyone to ask ALL their questions, even the ones that might seem foolish, as the questions that YOU have are very likely the same ones that other families have.
Program Introductions take place at 5828 N. Clark Street in Chicago. It is necessary to register prior to the meetings. As meeting dates can be changed or cancelled due to unexpected circumstances, your name and phone number will enable us to contact you immediately. If you would like to adopt internationally, Family Resource Center can support Illinois families with the completion of a homestudy, education and training requirements and supporting you through the US Immigration process. We encourage you to contact us and arrange a time for an in-person or telephone consultation. We can help to answer your questions and describe the services FRC has to offer. We look forward to hearing from you! Call Jane Turner or Ben Friedman at 773-334-2300 or contact via e-mail at jturner@f-r-c.org or bfriedman@f-r-c.org. |
