Since 1989, FRC has been involved
directly in more than 1000 domestic placements. Our
mission is to find homes that will provide children
with the love, nurturing and understanding they need
to grow, develop and thrive. Our commitment is to support
all birth mothers, independent of whether they choose
to make an adoption plan for their child. Our success
is based on fitting birthmothers' preferences with adoptive
parents' interests.
- Traditional Adoption Program (TAP)
Adoptive families create a profile, which is then shown to birthparents working with FRC to create an adoption plan.
- Agency-Assisted Adoption Program (AAAP)
Families create a customized program using advertising, networking, internet outreach and other creative methods to find a birthmother.
- African American / Bi-Racial Adoption Program
Family Resource Center is proud to offer a special grants program to families interested in adopting an African-American or bi-racial child.
- Home Study Services Program
For Illinois families that are adopting out-of-state, or through another placement agency, FRC is happy to conduct and document the home study portion of the adoption process. Included in our Home Study Services Program is assistance with DCFS licensing and post-placement services.
