Family Resource Center is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that relies on your generous contributions to run most effectively. There are many ways to support FRC:

Monetary Gifts

Monetary gifts help our general operating expenses, financial aid for adoptive families, child based grants and support of special needs children. You can send a check to us at Family Resource Center, 5828 N. Clark, Chicago, Illinois. 60660.

Matching Gifts

Many organizations offer matching gifts programs. Your employer may match, double or even triple every dollar that you donate to FRC. Please check with your Human Resources representative to determine if you can increase your contribution with a matching gift from your employer.

Donation of Stock

Making a donation of appreciated stocks, bonds, mutual funds or other securities may provide you with significant tax benefits. Here's how it works:

You purchase shares, bonds, etc. and hold them for at least one year.
The original investment was $1000, and your shares are now worth $4000.
By donating the shares to FRC, you may claim a charitable deduction of the current market value - $4000.
Because you have donated the shares, you are not liable for the capital gains tax on the difference between the purchase price and the "sale" price.

" This is Family Resource Center's brokerage account number. You will receive a letter acknowledging your tax-deductible contribution. Material and "In-kind" Donations

In addition to monetary donations, we also welcome practical materials and in-kind gifts such as:

adoption related books for children and adults
infant supplies for newborns in temporary foster care
cleaning and decorating supplies for our birth parent housing
maternity clothing
computers, monitors and printers
frequent flyer miles for internationally adopting families

Attend/Support a fund raising event

Every spring, FRC hosts a fund-raising gala and auction. The date for our upcoming Spring Fundraiser will be Saturday, April 21, 2012 and will be held at the Renaissance Chicago O'Hare. If you would like to donate items, or put us in contact with retailers who would be willing to donate, please contact us today.
